So proud to share that the images I took of my sister’s bridal shower are currently featured on the HGTV Gardens website. It was a true labor of love. Beyond the planning of the bridal shower itself, we also completed a huge backyard renovation just for the occasion. But planning and preparing with my other sister, and being able to pull this thing off, is one of my proudest moments. Images can also be seen on my personal website Sisters Not Designers.

I first met Stacy Boegem, a few years ago when we worked together on the board for the Team Up For Toys charity event to benefit Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. She is an amazing life coach through her business The Happiness Agenda and now President of the Ft. Lauderdale chapter of Femfessionals. I urge you check out her website and blog. I only need 15 minutes with her and I feel immediately recharged and refreshed. She commissioned me for her headshots this past spring. Now it’s her nature of business that she sends out weekly enews letters and blogs multiple times through the week. She needed a comprehensive collection of images of her showing every range of emotion and body language you could think of. Together with Dara Michelle, they created multiple looks and I captured every style in both a studio and lifestyle setting. In the end she has a “stock photography” collection of her that she can use for a variety of different things. Again, check out her website. One of my favorite little girlies just turned ONE! So for the special occasion we jetted off to Paris for the afternoon. No one, and I mean no one, knows how to throw a party like her momma! Marlow’s big brother is celebrating the big 3 in a couple of weeks and I can’t wait to attend.

I’m embarrassed to actually admit when Mason’s birthday party took place. (if you scroll down, you’ll find out!). But I’m just so excited because his little sister, Marlow, is turning ONE in July and plans for her birthday party extraordinaire are well underway, so I just had to go back and finally blog Mason’s. Nobody, and I mean nobody throws a party like his momma. (and I’ve been to a few)
That being said, we’ve been really really busy here at the studio. I have a huge back log of sessions to blog, three weddings booked for the summer, and a number of family lifestyle sessions on the books. Life is good. But as much as things continue to stay at a consistent hum here at work, I’m really looking forward to the break that summer will bring. Tomorrow is my kids’ last day of school, and knowing I don’t have to be out the door with packed lunches in hand brings a sense of relief. I actually went to the grocery store today and didn’t have to worry about filling up the cart with lunch staples. Whew! This summer is going to be about soccer camp, summer camp, free movies, free bowling (check out kidsbowlfree.com TWO FREE GAMES A DAY ALL SUMMER LONG!), sleeping in, staying up late, swimming, and hanging with our peeps.
When it comes to my business, I keep this saying close to my heart, “You have to slow down in order to speed up.” And that’s exactly what I intend to do!
Baby showers are always such fun and truly happy events. But when it’s for a first baby, and a girl no less. Then that’s more of a reason to go totally over the top. This soon to be mom sure did. Her family and friends hosted an amazing luncheon at Elle’s in Miramar, Florida complete with a “candy bar”. Congratulations Jennifer! I look forward to meeting your new arrival!
Meet Abby! She’s beautiful, smart, talented, musical and a bat mitzvah girl!! We used these portraits to create a completely custom sign in book. I’m kicking myself that I didn’t take any real pictures of it. The sign in book is really a great memento of a special event that’s easy to keep and remember forever.
